OTHER
2006-2007 Physical Chemistry Seminar Committee Member, UCSD
•Selected, invited and hosted environmental/atmospheric speakers.
2005-present Biofuels Awareness and Action Network, UCSD
•Student-run group to spread knowledge about biofuels around campus and nearby community; hosted educational movies/seminars, soon to start running one of the UCSD shuttles on 100% biodiesel as a research project with Parking and Fleet Services; obtained funding for this through the Chancellor of the University and Caterpillar Incorporated, who donated an engine platform to run the shuttle on.
2006-present Environmental Science and Policy Group, UCSD
•Student-run group to contact with economists and faculty to organize sustainability and environmental policy seminars, and help running and Environmental Policy Forum by giving a presentation on Biofuels and active discussion with class members.
2006-present Advisory Committee on Sustainability, UCSD
•Graduate student representative: communicate regularly with faculty, staff and both graduate and undergraduate students to work together to make UCSD more sustainable, drafting principles of sustainability, working towards producing a Sustainability Report of the UCSD campus and use this as a platform to improve how UCSD can continue to move forward while educating and improving its stance on the environment, also organizing student organizations and events for Earth Day 2006, Earthweek 2007.
2007-present Transportation Policy Committee, UCSD
•Graduate student representative: communicate regularly with faculty, staff, and both graduate and undergraduate students to work together to keep UCSD transportation aware of environmental, treatment, and land use obligations.
